The machine works great with and without the remote. I had to use a short outdoor extension cord to plug it in. I used a 16 oz bottle of $1 bubble solution and my grandson had a blast running through all the bubbles that shot out. A 16 oz bottle filled the bubble chamber about 1/2 way and he played about 20 minutes. Later in the day I turned it on again without refilling and he had another 15 minutes of fun till the solution was too shallow to work..There is still solution in the bottom that I wish I could pour out, but there isn't an easy way to do that without having the solution spill onto the metal. It appears there is a plastic coated lining to hold the solution, but it doesn't cover all the way to the top of the chamber where I'm concerned the solution will corrode the metal? It would have been a good feature to add a little pour spout in the center at the top. Other than that, so far so good. I plan to use it for my daughters reception outside in September. It seems to work great!

If your looking for a good bubble machine this is the one! I have 4 kids (one that LOVES bubbles!) and they live when we pull this out. No more wasting money on bubble machines!

This is a nice choice and it brings lots of fun to us especially my two boys. Easy to operate even without reading the manual at the first time. The remote control makes some extral credit. It produces tons of bubble instantly and attracts kids’attention making them happy. This bubble machine really is a fun-making machine. It is a party must.

This unit makes lots of bubbles, it's quiet & the remote control makes it convenient. It was the hit of our 3 year old's birthday party.
